HOW IT WORKS…
STAGE 1 - QUOTING
We’ll have an initial discussion with you to gather some details
We’ll provide a quote for you
We’ll either travel to you to copy your artwork or feel free to bring it to us
STAGE 2 - scanning
We’ll copy each piece using specialist equipment, lighting & cameras
Paintings can be photographed in situ or a convenient space can be prepared if possible on-site
Our in-house framing department can un-frame & re-frame pictures if necessary
We can clean glass and scan through it using non-reflective techniques if required
Your artwork is carefully handled by our professional team
STAGE 3 - techniques
Our experienced photographers can capture paint relief using specific lighting techniques, based on your preference
Unwanted reflection is avoided and necessary reflection (on gold or metallic features etc) is enhanced using our skilled methods
Stage 4 - restoration
Our experienced technicians can clean unwanted marks, colour-correct any fading, restore any damage and enhance the overall piece
We can digitally manipulate artwork by removing certain details and creating extra features or space if needed
Stage 5 - colour matching
A basic colour match is included and can be achieved on-site
A full colour matching service is available where we tweak specific colours digitally to ensure they print similarly to your original artwork
We run proofing prints and compare them against your original artwork until the colours and tones match as closely as possible
You’re welcome to pop in and see a print proof before a full print is processed
Stage 6 - printing
Our printing department uses state of the art equipment with archival inks
Large-scale prints are available
A variety of printing materials are available including canvas, textured fine art & lustre
Specialist materials are available upon request
For canvas prints, our processing team will prepare the digital files for printing and stretching the canvas - extra image space is created for wrapping around stretcher bars
Stage 7 - finsihing
A variety of varnishing options are available, ranging from spray to impasto
Multiple layers of varnish are applied by hand to create a textured and authentic appearance
Various varnishing techniques are available, such as rolled, brushed or impasto paint imitation
Our framing department will make bespoke stretcher bars for your prints and physically stretch each one
Bespoke frames are created in-house and your prints framed to finish!
